Sawyer Xie is the co-founder of the popular professional networking app, Coffee. Sawyer graduated from Boston University in 2013 where he majored in sustainable urban space and architecture. As a millennial who had just graduated from college, Sawyer and his friends were struggling to find jobs. Networking events were tiresome and connections were difficult to make, so they decided to create a social professional networking site to connect young people in a more meaningful way. The result was an iPhone app called “Coffee.” Coffee was launched on the App Store in July 2014 and now boasts over 6000 members across North America and shows no signs of slowing down. Coffee’s goal is to connect the next generation of professionals through a mobile networking platform.
