About the guests:
Russell Bird has been working in the Promo industry for over a decade. He spends his free time sitting on the Board of Directors for Porkapalooza, Canada's largest BBQ festival. Russ is also an active Board member with Promo Kitchen, an industry mentorship and education group that works to make the promotional products industry better. A proud member of EO Edmonton, Russ loves being an entrepreneur working collaboratively with his team on creative projects. Russell's main task at The Promo Addict is business development and sales management.
Tyler Merriam has over a decade of experience managing small retail businesses in the outdoor equipment and apparel industry. In 2022, Tyler and his business partner, Nick, purchased Adirondack Awards & Promotions in Lake Placid, NY, preserving its 60-year legacy as a community staple. Tyler has a Master of Science in Recreation Management and recently earned his Master Advertising Specialist certification. As a passionate outdoorsperson, he aims to incorporate eco-friendly sourcing and operational practices into his business. As a relatively new face in the promo industry, Tyler is grateful for the valuable mentee opportunity through Promo Kitchen, and hopes to one day give back to the community in a similar fashion.
