Molly Neises
I was lucky enough to stumble into the world of promo. I had never stopped to think about where things like imprinted pens, t-shirts, and mugs originated – or what their true purpose was. Fortunately, one of the best in gourmet food gift business is only a stone’s throw from my front door. Walking through theirs changed the course of my life – all for the better. I get to come to work everyday with the most amazing people in the industry. Mentorship started on the ‘Farm and it’s something we all embrace daily.
Add in the awesome distributor (& other supplier) partners I get to be creative with year-after-year, and new friendships are made around every corner. I feel truly blessed to be apart of this remarkable community called promotional products!
Favorite promotional product: Other than chocolate? Well, I’m self-proclaimed “pen junky” and concert tees are taking over my closet!
Year started in the industry: 2008
Profession before promo: Making windows. And let me add that I am thankful I found this industry and a fulfilling change of direction in life.
First promo ever sold: Gourmet Gifts from the ‘Farm
Where you live: Wisconsin
Favorite places on vacation: North Carolina coastline
Hobbies: Reading, Drawing, Writing (anything that allows me to “try” and be creative is a plus). Music (just about anything) and Movies (usually action-packed or comic based) are great distractions from everyday life. Oh, and spending time with my family and friends ranks pretty high too!
Fave alternative word for promo: I like Swag (or depending on the item, “marketing tool”).
Favorite quote: “What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?” – poet Erin Hanson; “We are all imperfectly perfect” – Sully Erna & Godsmack, The Scars Foundation
Most overused word: If I’m honest… It’s probably the word “like” (although I try hard not to use it) – or four letters ones I have to censor at the ‘Farm
What you like most about being in PromoKitchen: I love being surrounds by some of the most amazingly creative people in the promo industry. Inspiration overflows. Add in the message of mentorship and collaboration, and you couldn’t ask for a better bunch to immerse yourself with.
